Don’t You Think Every Kallah Deserves To Feel Beautiful?

Did you know that there are plenty of kallahs who can’t afford hair and makeup on their wedding day? They sit down to do their makeup themselves because there simply isn’t an extra dollar. Now they have somewhere to turn-  “Chein.”

Chein helps kallahs glow.

A few years ago, four determined women decided they wanted to band together to do something to help Klal Yisrael. What need was there that wasn’t being attended to?

While they were brainstorming, it came to their attention that there was a kallah who had done her own makeup for her chasunah; her mother had also done her own sheitel. There simply wasn’t money left with so many other expenses. It goes without saying that she didn’t feel as special as she deserved to feel.

That’s when these girls decided: we want every kallah to look and feel beautiful. She deserves it.

They named their organization “Chein,” Hebrew for beauty.

They did their own fundraising and spread the word about their initiative to hachnosas kallah organizations in Flatbush, Boro Park, Lakewood, Five Towns, Monsey, Williamsburg and beyond so that the kallahs in need know that this is available to them.

Chein works with a network of hair dressers and makeup artists who are so accommodating to help these kallahs feel special. And if a kallah has a particular person they want to do their hair or makeup for their wedding day, Chein makes it happen.

The beautiful kallahs of Chein then daven for the donors under the chuppah.

With over 200 kallahs per year being helped by Chein (and growing!), Chein has expenses of $90,000 to pay for the hair and makeup. And this is the first time they’re telling the world about their organization on the occasion of their first virtual auction!

The auction launches tonight!

All auction prizes and expenses have been sponsored by an outside donor. Every dollar you spend on an auction ticket goes directly to helping a kallah shine!

Visit spreadchein.org to support the brides of Chein and play a direct role in how each kallah feels on her wedding day.
