If you want some more family-friendly ideas, here’s a guide to the recipes you’ll love in our other cookbooks!

A bunch of us on the Between Carpools team have had amazing opportunities to bring lots of cookbooks to the kosher world over the past decade or so. Even so, we’re truly humbled by the response you’ve all had to Dinner Done.

If you own any of our other books and want some more dinner ideas, we’ve picked out a few from each book that will also love (if you don’t already)!

Fresh & Easy Kosher Cooking By Leah Schapira

Fresh and Easy is pretty similar to Dinner Done that it’s mostly a dinner cookbook; it’s just 10 years old. These are the top recipes that I still turn to to cook dinner all these years later. -L

Pizza Dough, page 144

Garlic Knots, page 152

Honey Mustard Chicken, page 166

Teriyaki Sesame Chicken, page 170

Chicken Fajitas, page 192

Sweet Chili Chicken Sandwiches, page 196

Starters & Sides Made Easy By Leah Schapira & Victoria Dwek

Crispy Beef, page 70

This take-out favorite has a few steps, but it’s one of those family-friendly dishes that everyone loves.

Seared Pepper Tuna & Gemelli, page 101

If you love fish and healthy, vibrant types of meals, this salad has it all.

Kids Cooking Made Easy By Leah Schapira & Victoria Dwek

Penne Rosa, page 16

The original two-pot version for a more classic style of Penna Vodka-without-the-vodka.

Pizza Soup, 20

Kid-pleaser! Very popular! Serve with the pita crisps for a complete meal.

Honey Bbq Chicken Nuggets, page 36

Baked nuggets with an awesome dipping sauce. A family favorite.

Chicken over French Fries, page 42

A chicken on the bone that combines frozen french fries for an easy dinner.

Ramen Deli Salad, page 48

Not exactly dinner but it’s great for Shabbos or Sunday night leftovers. They can’t get enough of the ramen crunch so make extra.

Malafel, page 56

Boys especially love this dinner! Easy too!

Dairy Made Easy by Leah Schapira & Victoria Dwek

French Mushroom Soup, page 49

A great, easy twist on French Onion.

Grilled Avocado Sandwiches, page 63

When it’s sandwiches for dinner, this is a winner. Use any store-bought Caesar to save a step and it takes just a couple minutes to prep.

Bistro-Style Pizza Dough, page 70

One of our go-to pizza dough. If you’re short on time, the 30 minute thin crust dough on the next page will come to the rescue.

Cannelloni with Milk Sauce, page 85

Works fine without the spinach, just make more cheese filling. This is easier than making stuffed shells because the tubes can be filled raw.

Avocado and Basil Pasta Salad, page 93

One of the most popular recipes in this book!

Secret Restaurant Recipes by Leah Schapira & Victoria Dwek

Quinoa and Spinach Salad, page 106

One of those salads you’ll make again and again. It does entail roasting veggies, but we steam the green beans in the microwave to avoid using another pot. This is one of those dishes that is your veggie and grain side in one (or save it for Shabbos as that “special” salad).

Eggplant Chicken with Garlic Sauce, page 124

A favorite weeknight dinner. You can roast the eggplant and simply pan-fry the chicken to make this dish without frying and it’s still great!

The Cedarhurst Sandwich, page 138

The Belt, page 140

Those 2 classic sandwich recipes give you the tools to make the perfect take out sandwiches at home!

Tilapia with Terra Chip Crunch, page 201

The marinade has a lot of spice, but other than that, this is one-bowl prep. It’s not a particularly healthy fish recipe, but it is yum!

We love for Shabbos:

Bourbon BBQ Ribs, page 174

You can use any spice instead of the spice mix and any barbecue sauce instead of the homemade barbecue sauce and the technique is can’t-miss and easy. But if you do decide to make the whole thing from scratch, you’ll see it’s worth it. The recipe makes a lot of spice rub and sauce so you’ll have enough for multiple times.

Everyday Secret Restaurant Recipes by Leah Schapira & Victoria Dwek

Quinoa Salad, page 90

Again this isn’t a complete dinner, but really our post popular quinoa salad.

Cali Love Panini, page 126

This sandwich makes an amazing dinner!

Sink Steak Sandwiches, page 138

This recipe is the real-deal!

Grilled Baby Chicken, page 180

The best, easiest seasoned baby chicken.

Grilled Mahi Mahi, page 230

Use this recipe to top any white fish. It will be your go-to. Use frozen herb cubes to make it 1-2-3.

We love for Shabbos:

Barbecue Short Rib Sliders, page 252

We use this recipe for great ribs or roasts, without the pulling! It’s a go-to for Shabbos and special occasions.

Gotham Glazed Ribs, page 206

This recipe hack shows you how to doctor up store-bought BBQ sauce and make great ribs, it’s super easy.

Our Table by Renee Muller

Our Favorite Batter Fried Chicken, page 26

A popular birthday dinner in the Muller house. It’s easy, quick, and kids love it.

Silan, Lemon, and Mustard Salmon, page 84

Mix and handful of ingredients. Pour over salmon. Bake.

Oven-Baked Honey Mustard Chicken, page 130

The kind of recipe that you make so often, you don’t even need the recipe.

Monday Night’s Chicken Shish-Kebabs, page 132

They look pretty but they’re really easy, and the veggie is included in there too! These are best when prepared on the grill, so save them for summer.

Meat Manicotti, page 126

Another popular family-friendly dinner.

Cannot Believe They Are Baked Spicy Wings, page 134

This is on the weekly supper rotation in the Muller House. If you love the Hot Poppers, you’ll love these too.

Secrets of Skinny Cooking by Victoria Dwek & Shani Taub

Churba Soup, page 115

This simple soup is a quick to prep, comforting meal.

Jumbo Broccoli Baked Potatoes, page 180

Kids love these too!

Sesame Chicken, page 198

A healthier style of sesame chicken with no frying and minimal sugar.

Chicken Avocado Shawarma, page 206

Family-friendly wraps everyone loves, plus it’s a one-dish meal.

Techina Salmon, page 232

A great fish that we go back to always.
