No more squished kippahs when you get to your destination – we have a simple packing tip for you.
Erev Pesach shopping last year was different, to say the least. The clothing wasn’t a high priority for us, but new yarmulkes were needed desperately. The good thing was that our local Judaica store, Judaica Plaza, was offering local home delivery. So, along with some new books for yomtov, I ordered fresh yarmulkes for my boys.
Our package arrived at the door with the books all neatly lined up in the box. On top of the books was a package of yarmulkes. They were stacked on top of a disposable plastic bowl and shrink wrapped to keep them together. I was struck by what a clever trick that was to keep the shape while in transit! Of course, these things always turn into a post…
If you’re traveling this Pesach, just place those kippahs over a plastic bowl and you’re set (you can put them in a bag too if you like). Shrink wrapping isn’t really necessary if you’re packing in a suitcase and can strategically place the pile under some soft clothing. But, of course, if you want to shrink wrap, we have a post for that, too!
