No more searching and searching for the right boys’ tees.
I remember, back in the day when my boys were little, I would search high and light for t-shirts that didn’t have words or graphics (or only classy graphics) on them. It wasn’t easy! The sooner I’d find something we both liked, the sooner they’d reject it.
Today, I find getting them the t-shirts they like is soooo much easier, because there’s certain brands they like. The t-shirts are basic enough, some are cooler than others, so there’s really no more t-shirt battles.
Note on Pricing of Brand Name T-Shirts. Pricing has changed since 2021: I found that this year, like in all other areas, brand name t-shirts are priced higher than they were last year. Last year, I was able to find all t-shirts between the $12.99-$20 price range. This year, brands like Adidas and Under Armour are higher than before (Nike is much higher, so I didn’t include much Nike picks). Of course, the dri-fit style t-shirts will cost more than the cotton t-shirts. Luckily, Abercrombie still has great deals and a great sale going on right now too, so you can still grab tees for $7-$10. It’s nice to search on Abercrombie because they separated their “basic tee” from their “graphic tees” so you don’t have to sort.
For Lower-Priced “Fill In” T-Shirts: Old Navy has this great solid basic. H&M used to sell this great 3-pack for both younger and older boys, but unfortunately, there’s nothing like it now and it’s no longer available. For solid polos, see the H&M and J Crew/J Crew Factory will have nicer fits. Old Navy and Gap are typically wider.
Note: We focused on boy sizes, even though your high school boy may need mens sizes (many brands of these kids t-shirts run larger and some larges and extra larges may be perfectly fine for the high schoolers too).
