How to Keep All the Chanukah “Things” Organized

From candles to wicks, oil to oil glasses. It doesn’t need to be all over the place.

You know that mess that we are describing because it happens in every home, every year.

The candles get poured out of the box because someone wants to see the colors (and it’s hard to pull them out one by one). The wicks are hard to pick out of the package they come in, so those get pulled out as well. And oil, well, what can we say, oil is messy.

What you need really is simply some thinking ahead and a system that keeps all the things organized and in their space.

Placing wicks into one section of a 4-section acrylic organizer. A condiment squeeze bottle with olive oil in the background. Shabbos candles, Menorah oil glasses and a box of matches.

We like this particular 4-section divider because the height and width work well (but any will do).

4-section acrylic organizers, filled. One with colored candles and one with Shabbos candles, Menorah oil glasses, wicks (plus a plastic tweezer) and a box of matches.

Also, a plastic oil bottle is perfect for aiming into those small glass cups.

Once everything has a designated space, the mess is contained. We tried this method last year and really found it worked well with us. Hope you like it as well!
