Our own children (and their friends!) really enjoy playing on a dance machine. It’s good, active, wholesome fun. They follow the instructions on the screen to jump and dance to the beat of their favorite songs.
But what if you don’t have one? Is there a way for your kids to have a blast and get in on the action?
We collaborated with Toveedo to create this fun DIY Dance Machine your kids can enjoy right now at home. Even though Toveedo is usually only available by subscription, these two dance videos are unlocked and free for everyone to enjoy!
How to Play
First, you’ll need some colorful spaces for your kids to step on as they dance! You can either print and let your kids color these dreidels and secure them to the floor with painter’s tape OR use these vinyl circles.
If you use the vinyl circles, you’ll only need four of the colors, but with this set, three kids can play at once. Vinyl circles are great because they’ll stay in place as the kids step and dance.
Place the colored driedels OR vinyl circles on the floor like you see above and turn on the dance video!

Simply step on the color that flashes on the screen! Younger kids can do a single step, while older kids will be able to do a double step.
Play as often as you like!
