We’ve enjoyed the “Let My Nation’ series ever since the first title. Now, the ten tests of Avraham are vividly clear in ‘Let My Nation Begin.’ Use code BCPBEGIN for 10% off plus free shipping!

When we first read the original ‘Let My Nation Go,’ many years ago, it was enthralling…all the details of the Yetzias Mitzrayim, all the midrashim and all the details that Chazal share, in one easy to read narrative. We felt like it made it easy to get the best grasp of the reality of the time, vivid and clear in one’s head.

Since then, there’s been so many amazing ‘Let My Nation,” books by Rabbi Yosef Deutsch. And while they’re quick reads for adults, they are also written in a way that children of all ages can also read to grasp a clear understanding.

One person in the family reads it, then passes it onto the next!

And now comes the book that covers Avraham and his ten tests. We read both Let My Nation Begin, The Story of Avraham Avinu, along with the previous book in the series, Let My World Survive, the Story of Noach last week.

And it was so eerie. It wasn’t just that it happened to be during the weeks of  Noach and Lech Lecha. We might all know the stories of Noach and Avraham in our sleep, but in these books, we become familiar with them on an entirely different level. It’s like we are there, experiencing the mabul, watching Avraham jump into the fire of Ur Kasdim, and listening as Hashem promises Eretz Yisrael to Avraham’s children through Yitzchak.

It’s like we’re watching the foundations of our nation and inheritance of Eretz Yisrael come about. And that’s so appropriate for round now.

Anyone who has read any book in the series knows…from the first ‘Let My Nation Go,’ to ‘Let My Nation Wander’ and ‘Let My Nation Ascend,’ which cover the years in the midbar. To the story of Ruth (Let Me Join Your Nation) and the fascinating and thought provoking lessons of Yonah (Let My Nation Be Warned). ‘Let My Nation Descend’ covers the era of Yaakov and Yosef.

But…now is the time to become familiar with the details in Lech Lecha and Vayera and understand, how and why did idolatry come into the world? How did Avraham step up against the rest of humanity? What was the scene like at Ur Kasdim? What were the challenges when Avraham went down to Mitzrayim, or battled against the four kings? How did Lot get so comfortable in Sodom? What exactly happened during Akeidas Yitzchak?

All details in the books are culled from Chazal and Midrashic sources.

Don’t forget! Use code BCPBEGIN for 10% and free shipping on the Let My Nation Begin. *10% off is only on Let My Nation Begin, but if you add other books, everything will ship free.
